Hold the lens ball up in front of your camera, get the focus right, and voila! a pretty cool photo. my top tip would be to make sure the lensball is centered in the frame for a well composed image. 2. have someone else hold the lensball. 3. fill the glass ball with your subject. in this photo, the cityscape is captured inside the ball. unless you get close to your subject, it will appear very small inside the ball. so do what you can to close the distance, until your subject looms large in the ball (and consequently the frame). This will give you a sharper image inside the ball. 4. splitting the horizon line. lines that can be bisected by the ball work especially well. a great technique to use with the lensball is splitting the horizon. this works well because of the effect refraction produces.
